Megan McKeon
Registered Mental Health Intern #25199

My intention is to cultivate a safe and creative environment during counseling sessions to support your journey of self-discovery and healing for individuals and couples. Everyone has hard times, some that are unexpected. When that happens, caring and support are needed, someone to hold a non-judgmental space.
Together, we explore your personal narratives, discover innate strengths, and develop a tailored therapeutic map that fits in with your goals. My counseling approach is holistic, including the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of being. My commitment is to holding a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming space. Feeling seen, understood, and accepted is the first step towards inspiring growth.
I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. My bachelor’s degree is in counseling psychology from Prescott College.
Some of the therapies I utilize are person-centered, psycho-dynamic, internal family systems informed, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method. I am guided by the idea that everyone’s healing compass points in unique directions and that the potential is always in the present moment.
