Life can bring many unexpected challenges. The decision to leave one’s country and create a new life takes courage, hard work and an immense commitment to provide a better life and opportunities to one’s family. Every individual shares a different story: some are forced to leave their country because of war, persecution, lack of resources, poverty or human rights violations. While others chose to leave for a chance to create a better life for their families, pursue a dream of a career, or to find safety.
Unfortunately, staying in the United States has become harder for many families. As immigration laws and policies become stricter, many families are being ripped apart. As a result, families are left behind in severe emotional and mental distress struggling with: trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, and extreme financial hardship.
We know that there are many obstacles to go through to receive legal status to remain or return to the United States. We want to help make the process easier and be part of the solution for many families here in SWFL.
If your attorney has suggested that you obtain a report from an immigration evaluation therapist, we provide immigration psychological evaluation services by trained mental health bilingual therapist. A Mental Health Evaluation adds a great value to an immigration case.
The immigration evaluation includes questions regarding, but are not limited to, your current immigration status; your personal and family history; your work history; and any medical or psychiatric history that may be relevant, and psychological assessments. We will then complete a written report and send it to your attorney. Immigration Evaluations and reports can be beneficial for any of the following immigration proceedings:
- Extreme Hardship Cases
- Spousal Abuse (VAWA)
- Political Asylum Cases
- U Visa
